Renderosity Magazine Weekly Art Challenge is Now Monthly

Nov 09, 2022 at 12:35 am by nickcharles

Welcome to the Renderosity Magazine Monthly Art Challenge! The aim of this challenge is to get everyone creating, regardless of tools or methods. Due to participation and the need for me to spend more time to pursue other content, I decided to change the challenge to a monthly format.

This month's challenge theme is "collage"

For this challenge, I thought of an especially fun one. A collage is a form of visual arts in which visual elements are combined to create a new image that conveys a message or idea.

Hope you enjoy this challenge. And, if you have any suggestions for future challenges, please let me know!

If you wish your work to be featured, contact me at nickcharles@renderosity.com, and be sure to include "Renderosity Magazine Monthly Art Challenge" in the subject line. All I ask is that for your work to be featured, it does not contain nudity, or otherwise could be deemed offensive.

Last challenge theme was 'colorful'. Here are some submissions:

This piece was submitted by Dochtersions on Renderosity.

"Here is my entry for the colourful topic. It's an Apophysis fractal with a style over it. A bit embossed and sharpened in irfanview."

Be sure to check out Dochtersion's Renderosity gallery, here.

This piece is from kareldg on Renderosity.

"Made this image  with Deepdreamgenerator-the Text prompt. A bit sharpened and bumped"

This piece, "The Accident," was submitted by artdreamer on Renderosity.

"When I heard the word colorful, I immediately thought of this creation I made in Photoshop C2."

This piece, "Colourful Smiles," was submitted by APlusDesign.

"Colourful made me think of positive energy and vibrance. I thought of the positive energy smiles bring and put the two together. Hoping this will be a bit of joy and a few smiles to your world. Hand sketched and coloured with permanent marker. Faces drawn in pen ink."

Be sure to check out the rest of APlusDesign's Renderosity gallery here.

I hope you enjoyed this challenge and you continue to follow up. And, please, spread the word! You do not need to be a member of Renderosity to participate, and you do not need to submit your work if you do not wish to. This is a work in progress and the format may change as it grows.

Thank you, and have a creative month ahead!

The Renderosity Magazine Monthly Art Challenge appears every month, in the first week of the month, in which I provide a prompt of sorts, whether a theme, word, or idea. There are no strict guidelines, and any tools or methods are acceptable. You can use any software you wish, or use traditional means. There are no limits to where the prompt might lead you.

Each succesive month, I will talk about the previous challenge, show what I came up with, as well as the work of other participants, and provide the theme/idea for the next challenge.

There are no prizes for this monthly challenge at this time. This is just to get us all doing something creative, no matter the tools or methods.
