When I first looked into Greyscalegorilla I was surprised by the amount of C4D goodies available once I got inside. It was much more than a kid in a candy store reaction. It was a pleasant surprise to see many tools that looked to lend a helping hand and more importantly make the user look like a genius. The latter never hurts regardless of the application involved.
After retiring from decades in 3D freelancing I can say that anything that helps you get the job done and look professional at the same time can bring in more work. More work means more income which means more toys…err… tools to earn even more income.
While I haven’t been through everything in the service it certainly looks extensive. To give you an idea of what lies behind the sign-in I’ll discuss some of the tools, tips, and tutorials that are available to increase your skills, which can increase sales, and… oh wait… we’ve already been there.
Let’s just say that the Greyscalegorilla toolbox could be as important as an auto mechanics toolset. Without it… you might find there are some things you just can’t do. If there are certain things you can’t do without it then what kind of mechanic/3D guru are you? Not meaning to belittle… just point out that a mechanic needs tools and a 3D guru needs tools too.
The problem is… with the pandemic… 2021… the expiring eviction moratoriums… money is scarce. Particularly disposable income. In fact, some of us may have to look up the term to remember what disposable income is.
So, how in the world can you even look at something like an extra service with a monthly cost?
Elevating your work to a point that it pays for the service many times over is one way.
Some of you reading this are already vendors that sell 3D products at Renderosity and other online stores. Some of you are excellent artists that rise above most of us, and your work shows it. Services like Greyscalegorilla can help to even those odds for the rest of us and elevate our work to a point that it gets noticed when posted.
As you can tell by now, I judge a tool by how much income it can generate. Can I use it enough to pay for it and squeeze some profit out of it? Just paying for the service can be a bonus as you get access to the things that can help you improve.
