The Motion Weekly is a showcase of awe-inspiring short films, animation and motion graphic works from around the web. Some pieces featured have been created by professional studios, while others may be personal works. May this weekly segment serve to inspire you.

Though my original goal with this segment was to specifically highlight motion graphics and animated short films, it had evolved to also showcase incredible live-action, outstanding cinematography, and wicked cool experimental works. It's all motion, it's all inspiring. So, take the time to kick back and have a look at some fantastic work being produced out there. And, if you like what you see in this segment, please share it.

"All The Things" is a collection of individual narratives, unified by a cohesive style.

Our intention was to work on a short, simple piece. As many of you know, sometimes personal projects evolve and take on a mind of their own. As the months rolled along, we found ourselves frequently going back and adding more content to each scene. We had a lot of fun allowing our imagination drive the development of the various narratives.

Unabridged - (Spec) Title Sequence

I love title sequences. Honestly, there have been times I was more enthralled with a title sequence over the movie it presented. And this title sequence, though for a non-existent show, is absolutely brilliant. Based on a fascinating single act play about a society where the written word is banned, the atmosphere, imagery, editing and haunting soundtrack are all fantastic. There is an extensive look behind the scenes here.

A year and a half in the making, I present a Spec Title Sequence for a non-existant show based around Sean Abley's single act play about a society in which written word has been banned due to it's psychedelic and addictive qualities resulting in an entire under world of addicts and dealers.
