Motion Weekly 26

The Motion Weekly is a showcase of awe-inspiring short films, animation and motion graphic works from around the web. Some pieces featured have been created by professional studios, while others may be personal works. May this weekly segment serve to inspire you.

Though my original goal with this segment was to specifically highlight motion graphics and animated short films, it had evolved to also showcase incredible live-action, outstanding cinematography, and wicked cool experimental works. It's all motion, it's all inspiring. So, take the time to kick back and have a look at some fantastic work being produced out there. And, if you like what you see in this segment, please share it.

Brain Wave

I'll begin the selections for this Motion Weekly with an incredible piece that is actually a single drawing reworked 1,440 times. Seven months of work went into this mesmerizing one-minute film.

Colors

Here is a stunning experimental fluid motion piece created with paint, oil, and other liquids that I had seen quite some time ago and had bookmarked for the Motion Weekly.

COLORS from Thomas Blanchard on Vimeo.

"COLORS" is an experimental dreamlike video rocking us smoothly through circular moves.

The visual compositions have been created out of paint, oil, Oat milk, Remover, Bleach liquid and soap liquid.

Ίσως είμαι εγώ/Maybe it’s me

A beautiful and touching piece of filmmaking here. I love how the medium goes with the story.
