Once a quarter, Epic hosts the #ue4jam to give developers a chance to create new projects, sharpen their skills and compete for awesome prizes.
The Spring #ue4jam will kickoff with the announcement of the theme at the end of the Unreal Engine live stream at 2 p.m. ET Thursday, May 10, available on Twitch, Facebook, and YouTube.
Jammers must submit their projects by 2 p.m. ET Tuesday, May 15, at which time the submission window will close and judging will begin.
After the five-day hustle, all submissions will be awarded points in three categories; fun, visual aesthetic, and unique use of theme.
Sponsors will award the highest scoring projects with fantastic prizes, including an Intel Optane SSD 900P and a Houdini Indie license from SideFX, among many other prizes. All Spring #ue4jam finalists will be entered into a raffle for a custom Unreal Engine-branded laptop from Falcon Northwest.
More sponsors and prizes will be announced soon and Unreal will share additional special categories you can compete in throughout the month.
Keep an eye on the Spring #ue4jam forum post for updates and a full list of rules and be sure to join the jam on UE's Itch.io page.
