MAXON, the leading developer of professional 3D modeling, animation, painting and rendering solutions, congratulates motion graphics artists Julia Siemón and Nick Campbell who were honored at the 2018 NAB Show as StudioDaily 50 award recipients. Sponsored by industry news site StudioDaily, the award celebrates a cross section of influential creatives and technologists whose leadership exemplifies innovative and creative thinking. StudioDaily announced the winners at an award ceremony earlier today.

Siemón and Campbell are well known for exemplary work using MAXON Cinema 4D, the company’s highly acclaimed 3D software application, on design and motion graphics projects on behalf of leading brands as well as training and education. During NAB, they will each appear as guest artist presenters at the MAXON exhibitor booth (#SL 5627) to share Cinema 4D insights and techniques. Presentations will be streamed live and archived after the show. Schedules and details are available at www.C4DLive.com.

“The annual StudioDaily 50 honors professionals across the full range of our industry who create, innovate and interact in groundbreaking, envelope-expanding ways every day,” says Bryant Frazer, editor of StudioDaily. “It’s our honor to recognize Nick Campbell and Julia Siemón for their invaluable technical and creative contributions to the media industry.”

Julia Siemón, operating as GIMIK in New York City, is a motion graphics industry professional specializing in design direction and creative support for commercial and broadcast clients. For the past 15 years, she has contributed 3D execution, branding, and technical/creative problem solving expertise on award-winning rebrands for Spike, TV Land, and The Weather Channel. Siemón’s list of commercial clients includes Microsoft, Mucinex, Google, Schick and Calvin Klein. Currently she is working in developing immersive content for VR. Siemón also holds a faculty position at School of Visual Arts where she teaches 3D design and animation.

Nick Campbell is the founder and president of Chicago-based Greyscalegorilla.com. A widely sought out industry influencer and presenter, over the past nine years Campbell has taught more than 100,000 motion designers and 3D animators at every level of experience.

Acclaimed for his candid teaching style and design based approach, Campbell has transformed the online education space; earning the company the #1 destination for the motion design and 3D community. Under Campbell’s direction, Greyscalegorilla also develops popular Cinema 4D software-compatible tools focused on streamlining the creative workflow and helping artists lead a creative life and build a business around their skills.

“Julia and Nick are two incredible Cinema 4D artists whose respective work consistently pushes the boundaries in 3D motion graphics design. They are both well deserving of today’s industry recognition for their work, but even more so for their contributions to the Cinema 4D community as a whole,” says Paul Babb, president/CEO MAXON US. “As guest artist presenters at our NAB booth, they once again extend their generosity by sharing tips and techniques to inspire the next generation of 3D artists.”
