This photo "The Back Roads" from Renderosity member xxnate_dawgxx_02 is absolutely breath-taking! I couldn't help but want to learn more about it!
I find inspiration behind every photo that I take, however, this one came from a very big part of my own personal life. A few years ago, I moved away from home and ventured out west to California. I am originally from Pennsylvania, so having lived here my whole life I really took a lot of the surroundings around me for granted; the trees, the open fields, the countryside. Being in the city for a few years, I almost felt imprisoned by tall buildings, traffic and lots of people.
To me, this photo symbolizes home and familiarity. It reminds me of my childhood when I would take little adventures out on my own and walk the back country roads. Everything about it makes me proud to be where I'm from.
The deepest meaning behind this photo, for me, is freedom. There are no boundaries anywhere. The open sky is littered with stars and looking up at it is the most freeing feeling in the world to me. The road ahead has so many unknown destinations and I love that
it leaves so many possibilities open to discover new things.
I decided to take this photo because of the moment I was in. I was on a little date and we went for a drive through the back roads of where I grew up. I took a road that had a big tree next to a corn field. We stopped to look up at the stars because The sky was so clear and the stars were bright. It was in that moment that I didn't want to forget that memory. I took out my camera, framed my shot and captured a moment that I will never forget.
