NVIDIA and Autodesk forge new trends in VR, design, cloud services and more.

The future of design will be on display at Autodesk University, in Las Vegas, where NVIDIA technology is powering the latest engineering tools and design applications.

Together with Autodesk, we're forging new trends in immersive VR, photorealism, generative design and cloud services -- and bringing to life the conference's theme of "The Future of Making Things."

Virtual Reality

Our latest Pascal architecture-based Quadro GPUs power today's most demanding professional design and VR applications. At Autodesk University, 11 VR stations -- powered by NVIDIA Quadro P6000 GPUs running on the latest VR-capable Lenovo ThinkStation P910 workstations -- will show how VR affects design and manufacturing workflows.

"The impressive performance boost of the Quadro P6000 enables us to visualize even more complex 3D data fully immersive in Autodesk VRED using the HTC Vive -- without the need of time-consuming data reduction and with outstanding render quality," said Sebastian Reher, visualization specialist in the Style Department at Porsche.

A real-time simulation of a manufacturing assembly line created with Autodesk Stingray and NVIDIA VRWorks will show how developers can easily bring physically realistic visuals, sound, touch interactions and simulated environments to VR.

In addition, NVIDIA Quadro VR Ready-powered workstations drive a manufacturing workflow demo at Lenovo's Interactive VR Lab. If you haven't tried the Project Soane Bank of England VR experience with NVIDIA Iray, check it out in the HP booth.

Photorealism

Product designers across the world are discovering the power of interactive photorealism to visualize and predict what their final designs will look like. In NVIDIA booth 1430 at AU, we're showing how Iray, our physically based rendering solution, integrates with popular Autodesk applications like 3ds Max and Maya to enable GPU-accelerated and quick VR snapshot rendering capabilities.

Making its debut at the conference, NVIDIA mental ray lets visual effects artists visualize and create simultaneously with unprecedented photo realism and complexity. Best of all: it's free for creative use.

Anywhere, Anytime Mobility

Learn how designers can create from any connected device and location with NVIDIA GRID, which will be running Autodesk Revit 2016, 123D Design, AutoCAD, Inventor and other applications on VMware Horizon with vSphere.
