My Experience Doing An Engagement Shoot
Staff Writer By: Hope Kumor (hopeandlove)
A few weeks back, my fiancé and I went to Greenville, SC for an engagement shoot. One of my good friends Stephanie is a photographer and I asked if she was interested in taking our pictures. She was honored and so we set a trip to head to Greenville.
It was a rather warm Saturday when we went to Conestee Park. She had us pose in various positions, starring at each other and making us laugh by saying random phrases. My fiancé doesn't always smile, but for this shoot, he did.
When our dog, Ollie was added into the mix, the shoot was more magical. To our surprise, he actually cooperated and she got some nice pictures.
Now, typically, in an engagement shoot, the woman just wears her engagement ring, but we decided to mix things up a bit and have him wear his ring while I wore my band and engagement ring. We like to be non-traditional and so, we thought this was a good way to spice things up!
The sun was shining and the weather was perfect.
The next morning, we headed to Downtown Greenville and took photos by the waterfall. I'd say the background was absolutely spectacular and the pictures spoke for themselves.
She had us hold hands, kiss, face each other, hug as well as put our arms around each other. It was a fun experience and I'd encourage those wanting to do something similar to set one up! It's definitely worth the money and seeing the pictures at the end is so worth it!
