The NVIDIA GPU Technology Conference (GTC) which began in 2009, started Monday, May 8 and will run through Thursday, May 11. This yearly conference produced and sponsored by NVIDA brings together thousands of scientists, technology experts, artists, virtual reality experts and media producers from all over the world to share and discuss their discoveries in the field of graphic technology.
Although I will be attending the GTC Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, several important announcements were made on Monday. The most important announcements are listed below. For my money, the multi-user VR environment will have the most impact. Of course, it's very expensive at this point, but many new technologies start out that way, but after a few years end up being affordable. I'll be posting more about this topic in the future.
