At the event, Paul Babb, MAXON US, president and CEO, will provide an overview of the latest company news and technology innovations to Cinema 4D, its market-leading 3D software solution. Babb, along with other representatives from the MAXON team, will also engage in a Fireside Chat with Wanda Meloni, noted analyst at M2 Insights, for a discussion of the latest 3D trends in VR/AR, gaming, rendering and more.

MAXON Main Stage Presentations and Guest Speakers
A top-notch line up of 3D guest artists will share Cinema 4D tips, techniques and insights into the creative pipeline to demonstrate its ease of use, quick workflow, fast rendering and unmatched integration into leading software applications on a wide variety exciting projects for VFX, motion graphics, live events, games, VR/AR, visualization, and more.
Guest artists scheduled to present at time of writing include:
EJ Hassenfratz - Emmy Award-winning creative director, LinkedIn Learning instructor, and host of the popular motion graphics training blog, Eyedesyn.com, will demonstrate essential character animation workflow topics in Cinema 4D for a recent tutorial series he created for Cineversity.com to include joints, rigging IK Dynamics, weighting, Xpresso rig, and more.
Casey Hupke - a Los Angeles freelance digital content creator who has been working in the live visual and commercial field contributing work to major tours for U2, Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, and Deadmau5, and helping brands such as, IBM, ATT, Exxon, and Buick to define a generative art style, will showcase the latest features in the Cinema 4D toolset and techniques to build interesting assets.
David Ariew - a 3D artist known for creating touring visuals for the Dave Matthews Band, as well as commercials, feature films and Cinema 4D and Octane tutorials for Eyedesyn.com, will show digital cinematography skills 3D artists can leverage in Cinema 4D to create digital worlds from scratch including lighting and camera moves for an attractive composition.
Ethan Shaftel - filmmaker and director, will walk attendees through the technical and creative workflow that he and animator Frank Stringini used to experiment and create, EXTRAVAGANZA, a VR film that premiered at Tribeca this year that relied on Cinema 4D and MAXON's CV-VR Cam plugin, and the low barrier to entry in this exciting new medium.
Jeremy Cox - a New York-based Emmy Award-winning designer and director for film and television at Imaginary Forces, will demonstrate his R&D process within Cinema 4D on recent projects, including the 2016 Euro Cup coverage on ESPN and this year's SXSW Gaming Awards, starting with nothing but a rough idea to arrive at the best solution to the problem.
Aude Guivarc'h - multimedia director and motion designer at the Moment Factory in Montreal, draws on the collective inspiration for immersive projects she has conceptualized, designed and directed for clients including Madonna, Justin Timberlake, Jay Z, Imagine Dragons and Ed Sheeran. The presentation will focus on the motion captured hands choreography built for the song "The Handler" on the Muse concert tour to reveal a hybrid workflow process that includes linking mocap animation to a rig in Cinema 4D, music-driven compositing and assembling and tweaking keyframe animations.
Steve Teeple - an Oakland, Calif.-based digital artist best known as "Teeps", will show his process and time-saving tips for integrating virtual reality tools into Cinema 4D for concept art, design, and animation with a highlight on using the motion system to harness motion capture data to seamlessly blend character animations.
Nick Lyons - motion graphics designer at Territory Studio in London, will be breaking down the Cinema 4D workflow including concept art, motion tests and final animations used to create futuristic technology for the Hollywood blockbuster Ghost In The Shell, to populate a city with 'solograms', futuristic advertisements, and devices appearing in the film.
Brian Behm - motion design director at Rooster Teeth Productions in Austin, Texas, will reveal thought processes and creative workarounds the motion design team uses to quickly generate high quality renders using Cinema 4D in their post production pipeline for a myriad of productions and special projects.
Eric Nicolas Smit - has created designs, visualizations and animations for Paramount Pictures, Sony Music, MTV, The European Space Agency, Lexus, Toyota, Nike and recently started developing and directing movies and documentaries. He will provide two presentations that showcase the wide range of tools and features in Cinema 4D with a focus on fracturing and mesh optimization as well as a 3D motion tracking and VFX tutorial.
Mitch Myers - a multi-award wining motion designer, 3D artist and art director specializing in telling stories without words, will demonstrate techniques to create cinematic scenes that utilize lighting with volumetrics within Cinema 4D and the basics of working with Octane Volume and VDB's to create a beautiful planet atmosphere and black hole.
Christian Whiticar - the lead motion designer at Sequence in Vancouver, will showcase how he uses the toolset in Cinema 4D and the Adobe Creative Suite to enhance traditional paintings and projection mapping techniques to get quick turn overs.
Winston Matthews - age 14, the youngest presenter this year on the MAXON SIGGRAPH stage, will demonstrate how Cinema 4D inspired him to create and enhance virtual reality games, including Worst Nightbear, a game developed when he was 13-years-old that has achieved positive acclaim at SXSW, Tech Crunch Disruptive and led to two successful start-up companies.
Jan Sladecko - a motion designer at The Mill in LA, who has contributed design content to awarded feature movies, music videos and commercials, will show his concept to final delivery timesaving production techniques using Cinema 4D for a quick project turnaround.
