New Lenovo Legion Y920 Tower with optional CORSAIR VENGEANCE LPX overclockable DDR4 memory

Lenovo kicked off gamescom 2017 Monday morning by announcing three new products designed with gamers in mind.

RAM-ifications of Overclockable Memory

First was an exclusive OEM partnership with CORSAIR to bring gamers overclockable memory in its gaming PCs.

By marrying CORSAIR's deep engineering know-how in enthusiast memory components with Lenovo Legion's high-performance PC gaming design, Lenovo armed its top-of-the-line Lenovo Legion Y920 Tower with optional CORSAIR VENGEANCE LPX overclockable DDR4 memory, adding an extra boost to its speed and performance.

The gaming community told Lenovo they wanted a machine that's speedy and powerful. CORSAIR's overclockable memory allows users to squeeze every ounce of performance from their Lenovo Legion Y920 Towers - for faster system response and higher memory bandwidth to maximize your in-game performance.

The Lenovo Legion Y920 Tower is the first product in Lenovo's collaboration with CORSAIR, but the partnership doesn't end there. The company plans to make more announcements in the her future.

Keeping it Cool When Your Game Heats Up

Then Lenovo shared the fruits of its partnership with the team at Asetek, a liquid-cooled Lenovo Legion Y920 Tower.

The result is a high-performance PC that brings gamers reliable, whisper-quiet, optional integrated liquid cooling.

"The liquid-cooled Lenovo Legion Y920 Tower is the first product we're bringing to market with Asetek technology," Lenovo said in a press release. "It's also another step in our commitment to bring gamers strong performance and an immersive PC gaming experience - through a collaborative approach with gamers and industry partners alike."

Overclocking a gaming PC can give users the tactical advantage in that split second between winning or losing. That's why Lenovo combined the best of both worlds with Legion Y920 Tower's overclocking and Asetek's optional integrated liquid cooling. Now gamers can overclock their CPUs for ramped-up graphics, increased frame rate stability, smoother gameplay, reduced system noise and motherboard stress, and more reliability for the PC's components.

How It Works

Mechanically, Asetek's liquid cooling functions similarly to a car radiator. Liquid wicks heat from an area and transports it to a heat exchanger. Traditionally liquid cooling was a complex technology to put into practice with fluid, tubing, and blocks - causing maintenance issues. Asetek's invention of the closed loop cooler made liquid cooling reliable without sacrificing performance. This leads to higher CPU cooling performance, better acoustics and extra protection for the components in your Lenovo Legion Y920 Tower for hardcore gaming.

VR-ready PCs, new gaming monitor

Lenovo also announced four new powerful additions to the Legion family - three VR-ready Windows 10 PCs Lenovo Legion Y920, Y720 and Y520 Towers, and the new Lenovo Legion Y25f Gaming Monitor.

Combined, the three Lenovo Legion towers give PC gamers of all stripes a level of customization, power and selection that fits their needs. The Lenovo Legion Y25f Gaming Monitor completes the experience with a high-end 24.5-inch Full HD display, giving you crystal clear visuals and the latest in HDR support.

"We heard you through direct outreach, social media and online forums. All this community feedback shaped how we developed these new additions," Lenovo said in a press release.
