Illustrator, Joey Ellis, Teams with Director, Seth Worley, to Pitch the Leaky Timbers Show
Staff Writer By: Nick Sorbin (nickcharles)
Leaky Timbers started as a 72 page, hardcover comic book, written and illustrated by Joey Ellis. The book is about a group of monsters who are residents of the rundown, Leaky Timbers apartment complex. The book contains a series of short stories, jokes, poetry, and other things. The book came out of a successful Kickstarter campaign that was launched in February of 2014, but Joey soon had bigger ideas in mind. Enter Seth Worley.
Seth, a director who has made a number of highly successful short films for Red Giant software, asked Joey to use a copy of his book as a prop in one of the Red Giant films, Go Bag. A short while later, Seth teamed with Joey to create a pitch video for a Leaky Timbers television show.
Through puppets, illustrated sets, and technical wizardry, Joey and Seth created the perfect pitch video for the Leaky Timbers Show, which is a hilarious 'show within a show' featuring Joey's creative world of monster characters. Seth expertly used a number of Red Giant tools in the creation of the video, and produced a 'making of' video that is equally exciting to watch.
Behind the Scenes of Leaky Timbers
The excellent pitch video is fresh, funny, and highly entertaining. I really hope to see success for Joey and his Leaky Timbers Show. Please do have a look at the pitch video, as well as the excellent making of the pitch video, and spread the word about this project.
