Howler 10 is Now Shipping

Howler, the digital paint and vfx animation software version 10 has just been released. Howler, developed by Dan Ritchie and released initially in 1997, Howler is similar to Corel, but is "first and foremost a natural media painting program with a full set of tools for traditional animation".

What's new in Howler 10...

  • New and updated particles tools, orbicles, bristles, and foliage

  • Block interpolation - morph between a block of frames to create new ones
  • Undo browser and rewritten undo system - compression and saving to disc
  • Enhanced vector rendered GUI
  • New color picker with integrated color themes
  • Rewritten media browser
