Franklin, Tennessee - April 22, 2016 Ansbach Artisans Fine Art Gallery and On Track Studios have joined forces to double the size of the popular Saturday Night Live Art (SNL Art) event held each month at Ansbach Artisans. Five local artists will be painting live in the gallery and the six resident artists at On Track will open their studios to the public for the first time on April 30.
The theme for SNL Art this month is Abstract April and features local artists Sandy Spain, Sharon Register, Karen Renee Robb, Tracy Yarbrough, and Kate Cloud. All of the artists will be displaying and selling finished works while painting live in the gallery. Live music will be provided by jazz guitarist Mel Deal.
The newly built On Track Studios is opening their doors to the public for the very first time. This is a unique opportunity to meet the artists and see inside their studios. Dawn Whitelaw, Robert Blake, Paula Friszbe, Pam Padgett, and Kristin Clark have studios at On Track along with business owner and local artist Brenda Coldwell.
At On Track, local artists work in on-site studios, teach classes, and conduct workshops with the community. Visitors can enjoy live music and light refreshments, tour the building, and learn more about the artists and classes from On Track Studios.
"We are excited to have On Track Studios right next door; they are going to make a great local art event even better," said Ansbach Artisans owner Michael Phillips. "There is not another local art event where you can meet artists, watch them work, and tour their studios."
Join Ansbach Artisans and On Track Studios on April 30 from 6-9 p.m. for great sights and sounds. This special event is free, open to the public, and family friendly. Ansbach Artisans Fine Art Gallery and On Track Studios are located at 1974 & 1978 Wilson Pike in Franklin.
SNL Art is on the final Saturday of each month and is open to visitors of all ages. Press is also welcome to attend. Details of the event can be found on the gallery website, AnsbachArtisans.com.
