Renderosity Vendor Tempesta3d took some time out of her busy schedule to chat with my about her artistic background. You would think full-time vendors wouldn't have too much time to spare, but she was more than happy to answer my questions!
What brought you to Renderosity?
Renderosity was like a magic place to me to watch from the distance while dreaming one day to become an artist myself and be part of that amazing reality: people from all over the World, all united by the same passion. That's a real dream to me.
One day, I decided to join them, and I have never regretted it. I am a very shy person, but everyone has always been more than kind with me, and, even if I still have a lot to learn, everyone is encouraging and friendly.
I now have many dear friends, wonderful Artists and human beings who enchant me with their talents and beautiful creations.
What is it about art that you love?
Living every emotion intensely, I am able to enjoy the beauty that surrounds me, but at the same time, I am also capable of feeling the negative emotions like sadness, fear very deeply. Art to me is like a safe island, a place to escape reality and enjoy the colors, the quiet, and the music (always present in whatever I do, alongside my cats).
Even when the art manifests itself with dark colors and creepy imagery, it's like the inner scars can finally escape. Another thing I love is fantasy or sci-fi. I am very passionate about anything related to space, so to me, art is a way to unleash the imagination and be able to create whatever my mind can come up with.
Art is also a way to unite everyone. We can all create, inspire and share our deepest dreams. It's wonderful!
Would you consider yourself more of a hobbyist?
This huge passion has also become my full-time job so no, this is not just a hobby anymore, but I consider myself a newbie all the time. I wish to grow and become a really good artist one day. I have so much to learn and so much great inspiration around me.
What does art mean to you?
Art is really everything to me, it means I get up in the morning with an idea, and I can see it take form before my eyes. Artwork can also move me deeply. Tears or laughter can occur while observing a photograph from a distant friend who captured, for example, a perfect sunset.
How did you become so passionate about art and why?
I've been into the arts since childhood. When I learned about colors, I was already painting, then writing poems and novels. Some even got published when I was not even a teenager yet. I grew in a very lucky place surrounded by museums that enriched and stimulated my mind and soul. I was always finding ways to express myself and give emotions, because I believe that life without feelings would be dull and useless and nothing makes me happier than seeing somebody feel emotions.
So I was writing, cooking, embroidering, drawing, anything to release the passion inside me. I guess I cannot even imagine a life without art. It is the biggest part of me, the engine that pushes me daily. It is my safe island and the place where I can be myself, but it's also a way for people to become one entity through emotions.
