Franklin, Tennessee - May 18, 2017- Ansbach Artisans Fine Art Gallery in Franklin is celebrating its two-year anniversary with a special Saturday Night Live Art (SNL Art) event on Saturday, May 27.

Visitors of all ages are welcome to come and celebrate, converse with the artists, and see their creations take shape. Guests can enjoy light refreshments and will be able to purchase artwork on site. Visitors are also invited to On Track Studios next door where they can learn more about this summer's art classes, meet with artists, and chat with owner Brenda Coldwell on site.
Franklin Alderman Candidate, Michael Phillips opened Ansbach Artisans at 1974 Wilson Pike in Franklin. The former site of Jamison Market is now the home of a wonderful art gallery which features only original works by Middle Tennessee artists. The gallery is named for the city of Ansbach, Germany where Phillips served in the Army as a Black Hawk helicopter pilot.
For two years, Ansbach Artisans has been connecting local artists and neighbors through the gallery's unique collection of local arts and partnership with the community. Since opening, the gallery has grown from hosting works by eight artists to representing 30 artists and their works. 75 artists have created live in the gallery through a variety of mediums including painting, drawing, sketching, sculpting, wood turning, and wood burning. Several artists have participated multiple times and continue to be a valuable part of SNL Art.
The gallery is a proud member of the Williamson County Chamber of Commerce and displays additional work at the Chamber office in Cool Springs. As the gallery continues to grow, owner Michael Phillips looks forward to further engaging with the community, connecting neighbors with local artists and their amazing works.
"We have created a wonderful local gallery that artists want to be a part of," said Phillips. "The gallery has allowed me to engage with and be active in our local community."
SNL Art is a free event on the final Saturday of each month and is open to visitors of all ages. Press is also welcome to attend. The next event takes place on May 27 from 6-9 p.m. Details of the event can be found on the gallery website, AnsbachArtisans.com.
