2 VFX breakdowns to watch from MPC

The Moving Picture Company has released a couple visual effects reels over the past week showcasing its work on films. Here are the reels for Alien: Covenant and Ghost in the Shell.

Alien: Covenant

Alien: Covenant Director Ridley Scott and Production VFX Supervisor Charley Henley worked with MPC's team lead by VFX Supervisor Ferran Domenech to create more than 700 shots for the Alien: Covenant. Here's the breakdown.

Ghost in the Shell

Last week, MPC released a breakdown of the visual effects used to create the live-action version of the manga classic, Ghost in the Shell.

"Working with director Rupert Sanders and Production VFX Supervisors Guillaume Rocheron and John Dykstra, MPC's team lead by VFX Supervisor's Arundi Asregadoo and Axel Bonami completed more than 1,000 shots for Ghost in the Shell. The complex work required a close collaboration between the filmmakers and MPC's team's in Montreal, London and Bangalore who developed new shooting techniques and software tools to create the live-action adaptation of the original manga," according to MPC's website.
