#DigitalLove: Love on World of Warcraft

So, I have to admit that when I read this story written by Jessica Aboujrass (silver), it gave me chills. I think it happened when I read the first sentence. Let me know if you felt the same after reading it by e-mailing: firstname.lastname@example.org
I will always remember how I met my husband.
I had only been playing World of Warcraft for a few months and was completely addicted. I was power leveling one of my characters with my best friend by running a dungeon over and over. Well, one of the times we were running in there, there was someone standing by the entrance and asked if we were doing runs and if he could tag along as his account had just been hacked. So.... he had nothing. Turns out, he had just happened to log on and was getting ready to log off when we ran by each other. We were friends for awhile mostly, only chatting with each other when we were playing WoW at the same time. But, eventually he let me know that he was interested in me as more than a friend. I was just out of a long-term relationship so I wasn't interested and kept putting him off. He was respectful but always very flirty and letting me know he was still interested but never in a pushy or obnoxious way, mostly in a good-natured fun and jest.
About 6 months went by and it was Valentine's Day and he asked me to be his Valentine--in game-- and so I said yes and that's how it started.
I got lucky to find out he lived in California-- same as me--and only about 4 hours away. We did the 'online dating' thing for about 6 more months, which involved lots of time chatting on skype, playing WoW and phone calls/texts until we met in person for the first time. It was extremely nerve-wracking for me. You get to know someone online and it's so different and experience seeing them in person especially for the first time.
I got lucky that we both still felt in person the way we felt before we met. I was also lucky that I moved to Florida that fall and he decided to come with me. We have lived together for the last 3 years and so much has happened in such a short time already! We bought our first home together last year, we were just married October 1st of this year and are expecting our first child together due in June 2016. We are so lucky and so blessed to have found each other, build our lives together and share in so many things together. We both still love gaming, still play World of Warcraft on our original characters we met on and will always remember how we met and fell in love. It's a wonderful thing and I couldn't be happier!
